Syble Jeanette Ming

Syble Jeanette Ming, 84, of Columbus, Ga, peacefully passed away Friday, September 27, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA, 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

Syble was born on October 7, 1939, to Robert E. and Martha Jewel Lee in Brandon, Florida. Syble graduated from Jordan Vocational High School.

Syble was a dedicated worker in the mill industry for many years. She retired from Muscogee County School Systems as a beloved cafeteria service worker, where she served the students with good food and a contagiously warm smile.

Syble married and was blessed with three amazing children: Robert Shelton (Susan), Sheila Evers (Chris), and Jeffery Ming (Lisa). She leaves behind eight grandchildren and many great-grand-children. Syble was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Syble is also survived by her sister and dearest friend, Celia Davis.  Syble was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Bob.

After earning her retirement, Syble enjoyed dining out, shopping, cooking wonderful meals, and spending time with her family. Her television would be tuned onto her favorite pastors or a Braves game. She had an extensive collection of frogs and angels gifted by her loved ones. She treasured them all.
