Sybil Kennedy Bailey

Sybil Kennedy Bailey, 80, of Columbus died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Vista Care Hospice Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, April 16, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA with Rev. Warner Noles officiating. Interment will following in Parkhil Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 till 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bailey was born February 11, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL daughter of the late Fay Wages Kennedy and Byron Kennedy. She was Chief of Micro Biology at Martin Army Community Hospital. She was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church, DAR and one of the founders of the Chattahoochee Valley Medical Laboratory Association. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Nina K. Lavender.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Whitley (Thomas) of Hamilton, GA and Deborah Swank of Oklahoma City, OK; sons, Thomas Bailey (Debi) of Midland, GA, Henry Bailey (Kay) of Peachtree City, GA and Mathew Bailey (Angela) of Ridgeland, MS; brother, Byron Kennedy, Jr of St. Petersburg, FL; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
