Susan Baldwin Scroggs, 61, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Edwin M. Buddy Cooper, Jr. officiating. A private interment will be held at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL. The family will receive friends following the services at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Scroggs was born June 1, 1949 in Monroe, NC daughter of the late Hunter Everett and Ruth Usery Baldwin. She was the Chief of Staff at St. Paul United Methodist Church and had worked for the Bradley Center and the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
Her passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Art" Scroggs.
Survivors include her sons, Jeff Grier (Tiffany) and Brian Grier (Robin) all of Columbus, GA, one brother, Buddy Baldwin of Columbus, GA, one sister, Jaine Baldwin of Charlotte, NC, four grandchildren, Rachel, Riley, Molly and Sam Grier all of Columbus, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Columbus Hospice and Dr. Andy Roddenbery for the exceptional care given during her illness.
