Susan Y. Rybik, 87, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at The Veranda.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. Interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Rybik was born August 4, 1923 in Houtzdale, PA daughter of the late Harry and Mary Yazwinski. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She loved baking, sewing, and gardening. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Rybik, son, Joseph Jerome Rybik, and four brothers, Peter, Andrew, Michael and John Yazwinski.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Rybik (Vicky) of Cataula, GA, grandchildren, Amanda Rybik of Cataula, GA and Christopher Rybik of San Antonio, TX, great grandchildren, Hope, Madalynn, and Aiden Logan and Chase and Chandler Rybik, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thanks to her caregiver and friend, Dotty Hamilton.
