Susan Ann Jeffers, 77, of Cataula, GA died Monday, August 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on September 7, 2024, at MidTree Church, 13175 GA Hwy 315, Cataula, 31804 according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Susan was born March 3, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to the late Raymond A. Moore and Margaret Kaelble Moore.She earned her Master’s Degree and retired as an educator from the Harris County School District. She was an extraordinary teacher with a passion for creativity in teaching. She made learning fun, creating countless games in every subject for her students. She received numerous awards and recognition from her students, parents and coworkers. She felt teaching was her spiritual gift.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Sieger.
Survivors include her husband, David Jeffers of Cataula, GA, son, Matthew Jeffers (Kimberly) of Cataula, GA. daughters, Michelle Hoy (Jason) of Plainfield, IN and Jill Collins (Brian) of Simpsonville, SC. sister: Margaret Morgan of Maple Grove, MI. grandchildren: Evan Hoy, Colin Hoy, Tyler Hoy, Grace Whitlock, Alyssa Collins, Cora Collins, Braydon Collins, Piper Jeffers, Finley Jeffers and Charlie Jeffers.
