Susan Anne Fowler

Susan Anne Fowler, 73, of Columbus, GA passed away at her residence Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Susan was born January 4, 1951 at Ft. Moore (Benning), GA to the late Jim Frank Fowler and Linnie Phillips Fowler.

After earning her high school diploma, Susan embarked on a career that would span decades as an Executive Assistant for the State of Georgia. Her professionalism, efficiency, and warm demeanor made her an indispensable asset to her colleagues and the many people she served throughout her career.

Susan's retirement years were active and fulfilling. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends to whom she was known for her generosity, kindness, and genuine goodness. She was a former member of the Red Hats and traveled as she pleased. Susan's life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the strength of familial bonds.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Fowler of Columbus, GA; brothers, Philip Fowler (Jan) of Concord, NC and Randy Fowler of Cookeville, TN; nieces, Wendy Nichols (Brian) of Baxter, TN and Stephanie Jones of Concord, NC; nephews, Matthew Fowler of Cookeville, TN and James Fowler (Patricia) of London, England; special friend, Bobbie Whitley of Columbus, GA, along with numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
