Sue Thomas Thompson, 78, of Columbus, GA died Friday, May 27, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with an Elder of the Primitive Baptist Faith and Order officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Thompson was born January 30, 1938 in Dothan, AL to the late Arthur and Louise Singletary Thomas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Emory Thompson, and grandson, Charles Thompson.
Survivors include daughter, Anna Thompson; son, Glen Kirkland; grandchildren, Elizabeth Aceveda (Michael), Carolyn Hamlin (Charles), and Melissa Kirkland; brothers, Pete Thomas, and James Thomas (Louise); three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
