Sue Ellen Davis Ranft, 74, of Midland, GA died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral services immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Gentian Baptist Church 3853 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. David Hardwick officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A "drop-in" style reception will be at Tom and Sue Ranft's home after the service.
Mrs. Ranft was born August 19, 1944 in Samson, AL daughter of the late Clemon Davis and Lorene Thrower Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Gentian Baptist Church.
Sue joins her daughter, Cynthia Ranft, mother, Lorene Thrower Davis, father, Clemon Davis, brother, Clemon Davis, Jr., and sister Pat Bills in heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Ranft, Sr. of Midland, GA, son, Tom Ranft, Jr. (Heather) of Florence, KY, daughter, Marilyn Ranft of Columbus, GA, son/grandson, Matthew Ranft of Midland, GA, son/grandson Austin Ranft of Midland, GA, brothers Ellis Davis (Helen) and Bobby Davis (Doris), sister-in-law, Anne Davis, grandchildren, Stuart Smith, Hailey Smallwood and Tommy Ranft, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, who she loved dearly.
