Steve Miller, 81, of Columbus, GA died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his residence.
Celebration of Life services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Charles Hays officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Miller was born October 26, 1933 in Ft. Benning, GA son of the late Stuart J. Miller and Lena C. Patten Miller. At age 62 he retired from Columbus Carpet Mills as a salesman. In 2013 Mr. Miller retired after 18 years of service as a school bus driver with the Muscogee County School District. He was a member of Edgewood Assembly of God Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Cleve Miller and a daughter, Vickie M. Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Broom Miller of Columbus, GA; daughter, Deborah Susan Dorman (David) of Glen St. Mary, FL; son, Steven M. Miller (Anita) of Oklahoma City, Ok; a step-daughter, DeAnna Honeycutt (Brian) of Lakeland, FL; step-son, Scott Duncan (Sue) of Naples, MN; a brother, William M. Miller of Americus, GA; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Columbus Hospice or Edgewood Assembly of God.
