Stephanie Gray Smith, 60 of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at St. Francis Emory HealthCare.
Visitation for friends and family will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907
Stephanie was born on May 31, 1962 in Columbus, GA to Steve Gray and Carolyn Gray. After High School she worked for the Bibb City Mill, where she spent many years before retiring due to a disability.
Stephanie loved people and experiences. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, having fun at the casino, caring for her beloved cats and was a loyal Auburn Football fan. Most of all, she cherished every moment spent with family; especially her grandson Carter Thornton.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Benoit; sister, Donna Boswell; niece, Renee Eldridge; and nephew Matthew Brooks.
Stephanie is survived by her daughter Pam Thornton; Father, Steve Gray; two sisters, Nancy Gray and Lisa Bryant; grandson, Carter Thornton: Nephews; Randy Boswell, James Eldridge, Ryan Brooks and Will Bryant; and nieces, Danielle Berenguer, and Nicole Hawk.
