SP6 U.S. Army (Ret.) Bobby G. Kelcy, 80, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held 10:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chon Won officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Kelcy was born August 14, 1932 in Mullin, TX son of the late Herman G. Kelcy and Eskabelle Roberts Morgan. He retired as a SP6 after 22 years in U. S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He later retired from Centennial Industry as a welder. He was a member of Memorial Life Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Sonyi Won Kelcy of Columbus, GA, three daughters, Kathryn A. Lee (James) of Hanahan, SC, Patricia C. Rosado of Camden, S.C. and Sandra L. Robertson of Columbus, GA, three sons, John R. Kelcy (Tammy) of Spartenburg, SC, Charles G. Kelcy (Deborah) of Givhans, SC and William T. Kelcy (Alice) of Columbus, GA, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
