Sonmogique “Gigi” Kaye Isabel

Sonmogique “Gigi” Kaye Isabel, 58, of Columbus, GA passed in the early hours of Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.She was a kind and passionate soul. Her smile lit up the room, and her laugh was contagious.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 on Friday, September 8, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, GA. A procession will immediately follow for a graveside service with Pastor Nathan Cash officiating at Parkhill Cemetery.

Gigi was born February 1, 1965 in Tacoma, WA to David Sprout and the late Sherill Cummings. Throughout her childhood, Gigi was known for her fun spirit and love for animals. As a young woman, she was adventurous and known for her stunning appearance. She met her husband, Bob Isabel, during this time, and they later went on to be married. Together they raised two children, both of whom  graduated from college with successful careers. Their accomplishments are directly credited to the firm foundation that was established in their youth from her love and support. Gigi was then blessed with four grandchildren who she adored more then anything. Gigi was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She dutifully served these roles and will be missed immensely by all.

Survivors include her husband Robert (Bob) Isabel,Sr., daughter, Tiffany Isabel, son, Robert Isabel ll (Brittany), three brothers, David Sprout ll, Jay Sprout (Sheryl), and Shawn Sprout (Ulrika), one sister, Erica Newton (Kevin), father, David Sprout (Flora), step-father, David Cummings, grandchildren: Kaleb Isabel, Charleigh Isabel, Payton Isabel, Khloe Isabel, and many nieces and nephews. In death, Gigi is reunited with her mother, Sherill Cummings.
