Sigrid Winkler, 87, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence.
A private graveside service will be held in Trenton Illinois at a date yet determined according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3847 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Sigrid was born March 29, 1934 in Senftenberg, Germany to the late Max Steuer and Helene Elmer Steuer. Sigrid married her husband Gerald in the Panama Canal Zone and would eventually travel the world with her husband and children as a military family, moving over 40 times in her lifetime. First and foremost, she was a wife, mother and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Winkler.
She is survived by sons, James “Jim” Winkler, of Hamilton, GA, son Michael Winkler(Amy) of Columbus, GA three grandchildren, Addison Winkler of Atlanta, GA, Austin Winkler of Rome, GA, Elise Dolan (Mathew) and a great granddaughter Caroline Hartley Dolan all of Columbus, GA
