Shirley Okula, 66, of Columbus GA died Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Okula was born December 23, 1945 in Camp Gordon, GA daughter of the late Hubert Gabriel Holland and Geneva Chapman Holland. She was the former owner/operator of Shear Magic for 20 years and a member of Cascade Hills Baptist Church. She was a very loving and giving person and touched the lives of everyone she met.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Okula of Columbus, GA; daughters, Tracy Smith of Columbus, GA and Michele Fultz (George) of Midlothian, TX; sister, Jenny Speed (Paul) of Zephyrhills, FL; brothers, William Holland (Marsha) and Andy Holland both of Columbus, GA; eight grandchildren, Richard Smith, Nicole Smith, Jessica Smith, Danielle Smith, Rebekah Fultz, Joshua Fultz, John Fultz and Jacob Fultz; four great grandchildren, Allisa Smith, Kyla Bryant, Jacob Bryant and Sky Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
