Shirley Rust Howard, 85, of Hoover, AL, formerly of Panama City, FL, and Montgomery, AL, passed away, November 16, 2015.
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Parkhill Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Shirley was born October 9, 1930 in Coral Gables, FL to Cecil and Nora Rust. The family moved to Montgomery, AL, in 1936, where Shirley grew up attending Highland Avenue Baptist Church. She was a 1948 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and attended Blue Mountain College.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Howard, Sr., and a grandson, Mark Wilson.
Survivors include her five children, William "Bob" Howard, Jr. (Libby) (former spouse, Debra Howard), Richard Howard (former spouse, Patsy Olsen), Paul Howard (Zoe), Brett Howard (Kirstan), and Karen Howard Wilson (Mike), six grandchildren, Mandi Dreaden (Tim), Alison Langley, Jennifer Wilson, Benjamin Howard, Zane Howard and Sophie Howard, and three great-grandchildren, Madison Poyner, Conley Dreaden, and Luke Dreaden.
