Ms. Sheila D. Gillenwaters, 58, of Columbus, GA died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Kindred Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Gillenwaters was born July 16, 1960 in Columbus, GA daughter of Mr. Marvin Clark Gillenwaters and Irmgard Marie Haller Gillenwaters.
Ms. Gillenwaters will be remembered by her family and friends as a free spirit who dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the beach, classic rock, reading the Bible and collecting angels.
Other than her parents she is survived by her three children, Lisa Fuller (David) Waverly Hall, Josh Gillenwaters (Jessica), Destin, FL and Taylor Worth, Columbus; two sisters, Sylvia Deyo (Shane) Marietta, GA and Regina Lynn, Columbus; two brothers, Clark Gillenwaters (Melanie), Phenix City, AL and Neal Gillenwaters, Columbus; six grandchildren, Kara, Kyler, Ava, Andy, Kaiden, Kevin, Jaxson and Bryson; special nieces Dana and Hannah-Leah Card, Columbus; numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
