Sharon Ruth Wood, 74, of Nisswa, MN died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM CST Thursday, December 28, 2017 at The Journey Church 5459 CO Highway 18 Nisswa, MN 56468.
Sharon was born December 17, 1942 in Hammond, WI daughter of the late Robert Trapp and Ruth Nelson Hammond. She worked as a stay-at-home mother and teacher.
Sharon made a life for her family that she had envisioned at a young age. That life was simple, pure, unselfish and full of love and support. To all of us who knew her, we were blessed. Her grace was only exceeded by her love for her family. She will be forever missed and we will be forever inspired.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John David "Dave" Wood of Brainard, MN, sons, John David Wood, Jr. (Beth) of Waconia, MN, Michael Robert Wood (Carolyn) of Nisswa, MN and Trevor J. Wood (Nancy) of Columbus, GA, daughter, Andrea Jean Wood of Minneapolis, MN, sister, Arliss Wilson of Cambridge, MN, brother, Gene Trapp (Jo Ellen) of Sacramento, CA, and 9 grandchildren.
