Sharon J. Pierce, 77, of Columbus, Georgia died February 5, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ed Kvietkus officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3764 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Sharon was born March 7, 1946 in Columbus, GA to the late Curtis Johnson and Laura Matheny Johnson. She retired as a Branch manager from Barnett Bank following a 36 year banking career. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in 1964 and was the President of the JVHS Alumni Association. She attended Columbus College. She was a longtime member of the Exchange Club of North Columbus and the Lake Bottom Park District. She loved reading, music, banking, her friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Jason Pierce of Columbus, GA, sister, Bevelon Theriault (Joseph) of Vero Beach, FL, brothers, Nolan Johnson (Sarah) of Florence, SC, Steve Johnson of Florence, SC, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
