Shane Pedroni Schimmel

Shane Pedroni Schimmel, 74, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday May 8, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital North.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.

Shane was born August 22, 1949, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Frank Andrew Pedroni and the late Musa Frances Jones Pedroni. She attended Orange Park High School and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Atlanta. She cherished her children, and she was a wonderful mother, wife and homemaker. She and her husband raised two children of whom they are very proud. Shane was an accomplished potter, which brought her many hours of joy and an occasional dollar or two in sales. She was a skilled seamstress and furniture refinisher in her spare time. She also enjoyed recreational tennis and the camaraderie of all of her tennis friends. After her husband Terry retired,they cruised extensively and saw much of the world on their favorite cruise line, Oceania.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard T. Schimmel of Columbus, GA; her daughter, Majken K. Schimmel of Johnson, TX; and her son Ashton B. Schimmel (Kim) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her sisters Gena Pedroni of Tallahassee, FL, and Allison Krueger (Blake) of Seattle, WA, and her brother, Craig Pedroni of Jacksonville, FL.
