SGM (Ret.) Ronald E. Hart, 78, of Columbus, GA passed on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with 75th Ranger Regiment Chaplain Brad Kattelmann officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment with full military honors will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery at a later date.
Ron was born December 2, 1944 to the late Kenneth Edward Hart and Evelyn Kile Hart. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a part of the 75th Ranger Regiment and retired as a SGM after 26 years. He went on to work at Swift Mills as a plant production Supervisor and would later work as the Arial supervisor at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Lagrange, Ga.
He enjoyed traveling, playing poker with friends and golfing. He loved spending time with his family and his dog Bella. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Hart, brothers, Mike Hart, Chuck Hart, sister Janice Miller & great-grandson, Ezekiel Brave Hart.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Hart and her family, sons, Tommie Hart (Lara) of Hamilton, GA, Kevin Hart (Martha) of Columbus, GA, Scott Hart (Kristi) of Ellerslie, GA, brother, Butch Bazil (Brenda) of Ottawa, KS, grandchildren, Kendall Allen (Greg), Dylan Hart (Kayla), Mason Hart (Elizabeth), Easton Hart (Lexie), Gavin Hart and 14 great-grandchildren.
