(Ret.) SFC Steven James Stow, 57, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 7, 2011 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
(Ret.) SFC Stow was born January 29, 1954 in Norwich, England son of the late James Herbert Stow and Grace Berry Stow. He retired as Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army having served in Desert Storm. He worked as a mechanic for Pratt and Whitney.
Survivors include his loving wife, Helga Bier Stow of Columbus, GA, daughter, Denise Stow of Columbus, GA, son, Patrick Stow of Phenix City, AL, sisters-in-law, Ingrid Mueller (Alfred) of Germany and Rosie Guth (Volker) of Germany, several nieces and nephews in Germany, and other friends and family.
