Sfc Harry Daniel (Ret.) Sinnett

SFC (Ret.) Harry Daniel Sinnett, 93, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Sinnett was born July 23, 1917 in Kingman, KS son of the late Leslie and Lelia Black Sinnett. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. During the military, he achieved a purple heart, good conduct medal, and POW medal. He later worked as a security guard. He was also a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Katherine Teague Sinnett of Columbus, GA, children, Janice Burch of Columbus, GA, Harry Eugene Sinnett (Anne) of Evansville, IN, Patricia Parker of Columbus, GA, Harry Lee Sinnett (Virginia) of Newalla, OK and Charlotte McKenna (William) of Alex, OK, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations be made to Vista Care at Franciscan Woods 2425 Williams Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
