SFC (Ret.) Clarence Kelley, Jr., 88, of Columbus, GA died Monday, December 17, 2018 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
SFC (Ret.) Kelley was born July 10, 1930 in Etowah, AL son of the late William Clarence Kelley and Pluma Thelma Lipscomb Kelley. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class having served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. During his military career, he received the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 60 Device and the Korean Service Medal.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Lee Loftin Kelley, daughter, Janeth Hargis and granddaughter, Kristi Campbell.
Survivors include his daughter, Martha Campbell (Randall) of Midway, TX, son, Ronald Kelley of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Jenny Gonzalez (Raul) of Houston, TX, Angie Pulido (Osiel) of Spring, TX, Kendall Campbell of Midway, TX, LeeAnn Bohannon (Todd) of El Campo, TX, Wesley Hargis of Eagle Pass, TX and Chelsea Bagley (Michael) of New Braunfels, TX, great-grandchildren, Katina Bohannon, Dalton Bohannon, Lauren Bagley and Alice Bagley, and sister, Myrtle Faye Cushing of Gadsden, AL.
