Sfc Calvin Homer (Ret.) Heath

SFC (Ret.) Calvin "Bob" Homer Heath, Sr., 87, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 11, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverend Dan MacMinn officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Heath was born December 4, 1928 in Cochran, GA son of the late Homer Lee Heath and Roberta Lee Purser Heath. He retired after 21 years from the U.S. Army as Sergeant First Class and later retired from West Point Pepperell.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife, Madelyn Manning Heath of Columbus, GA, three children, Pat Blont (Emory), Calvin Heath, Jr. (Katherine) and Todd Heath all of Columbus, GA, sister, Mavis McCullars of Dublin, GA, five grandchildren, Brandon Jenkins (Amy), Jeff Heath (Katie), Dustin Heath (Hope), Brittany Jenkins and Cody Heath, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend gratitude to the staff and nurses of Columbus Hospice during Mr. Heath's illness.
