Sfc Charles Eugene (Ret.) Bonnett

SFC (Ret.) Charles Eugene Bonnett, 78, of Columbus, GA died Friday, August 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery in Ft. Knox, Kentucky according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Bonnett was born June 27, 1934 in Wood County, WV to the late George W. and Irene Moorehead Bonnett. He retired from the U.S. Army as Sergeant First Class having served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Tincie L. Bonnett of Columbus, GA, sons, Mitchell Lynn Bonnett of Norfolk, VA, Michael Lee Bonnett of Radcliff, KY and Bryan "Luke" Bonnett of Elizabethtown, KY, grandchildren, Charles Hyong Bonnett and Mitchell Dean Bonnett both of Radcliff, KY, and niece, Carole Kuhens of Parkersburg, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
