Scarlett Kamar, 68, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Columbus Specialty Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Father David Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Kamar was born March 17, 1944 in Jerusalem, daughter of Hannah Pearlman Scoggin of Raleigh, N.C. and the late Dr. B. Elmo Scoggin. She was a homemaker.
Scarlett was a devoted wife of 49 years to Michael Kamar of Columbus, GA and was a mother to four children, Lenore Roberts (Joe) of Columbus, GA, Cathy Mitchell (Johnny) of Columbus, GA, Maria Kamar of Phenix City, AL and Sam Kamar (Kathy) of Columbus, GA. She had two grandchildren, Michelle Head and Michael Kamar of Columbus, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the John B. Amos Cancer Center 1831 5th Ave. Columbus, GA 31904.
