Sarah I. Maughon Mobley, 82, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday January 10, 2014 at Ist Assembly of God Church in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Barry Danner officiating. An interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at 1st Assembly of God Church according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th Street Phenix City, AL 36867.
Mrs. Mobley was born September 17, 1931 in Luverne, AL daughter of the late Willie M. Sanders and Ruby Reeves Sanders. She was a member and day care worker of 1st Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. Mrs. Mobley worked for Tom Houston Peanut Company, Fieldcrest Mills, Royal Crown Cola, and Phenix City Department of Senior Care.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Jessie Junior Maughon, daughter; Belinda Jones, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband; Roy Green Mobley of Phenix City, AL, daughters; Deborah Yates (Garland) of Cheverly, MD, Phyllis Swain, Rhonda Watson (Rev. Eddie), and Misty Sablan, all of Phenix City, AL, step-children; Herschel Mobley (Charla) of Birmingham, AL, Hazel Beard (Bob Pictole) of Atlanta, GA, and Mary Ann Dodson (Larry) of Knoxville, TN, sister; Dollie Ann Trout of Mobile, AL, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
