Sarah Elizabeth Day, 96, of Fortson, GA, died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her home in Fortson, GA.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Jamie Snider officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Day was born April 13, 1922 in Wadley, AL, daughter of the late Robert Lee Thomason and Nannie Lavissie Wood. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Harris County and enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting dolls. Mrs. Day was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Day; son, James Calvin Day; grandson, Mike Day; great-grandson, Randy Snider; two brothers, Benjamin Thomason and John Thomason and one sister, Malissie Sturges.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Snider and Yvonne Popp (Warren); three sons, Raymond, Ralph and David Day; daughter-in-law, Regina Crawford (Fred), 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
