Sarah Wood Culver, 83, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Culver was born January 2, 1927 in Henry Co., AL daughter of the late Alto and Viola Starling Wood. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lige Culver, brothers, Jake and Bill Wood, and sister, Sue Culpepper.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Lamb and Brenda Wagers, sons, Joe Culver (Glenda) and Steve Culver (Susie) all of Columbus, GA, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
