Sandra Cherry Norris, 74, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Orchard View Skilled Nursing Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Michael Sims officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norris was born November 1, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Clifford J. Cherry and Emma Belle Cherry.
Survivors include her devoted husband, William Jerry Norris, her daughter, Melanie Boatner (Jeff); a sister, Emily Reed; a nephew, Mark Meadows; and a niece, Michelle Knight. The lights of her life were her granddaughter, Kayson Renee Boatner and grandson, William James Boatner.
Mrs. Norris devoted her life to the Lord and leaves behind many friends. Special appreciation goes to the staff of Orchard View Skilled Nursing Center, who provided exceptional care for her and support for her husband who was by her side each and every day.
