Sandra Lee Brown Douglas, 65, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, with those she most treasured by her side.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday, November 25, 2024 at Edgewood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Sandra was born on September 17, 1959 to John and Maudie Brown, in Columbus, Georgia. She was a proud graduate of Baker High School (1976), and of Columbus Technical College receiving a certificate in Administrative Technologies and long time employee of Muscogee County School District, where she retired after 30 years of service. Sandra was an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church for over 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maudie Brown.
She is survived by her husband, David Douglas, of 45 years, their two children, Amy King (Stephen) and Adam Douglas (Beth), 4 wonderful grandchildren, her brother, Fred Brown, and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra’s greatest joy in life was her deep love for Christ, made evident by how she loved friends and family. Her most precious earthly treasures were her grandchildren of which she had 4 - Luke (16), Ben (14), Eve (11) and Harrison (9), her heart medicine.
