Sandra Waldrop Doolittle, 78, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with Reverend Judy Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Doolittle was born December 27, 1937 in Columbus, GA to the late Harry Pou and Myra Richardson Waldrop. She was a member of Central Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the Republican Women's Party. Mrs. Doolittle loved geneaology and was a dedicated member of the Mohina Woods Garden Club. In her free time, she enjoyed writing.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlton Howard Doolittle.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Leigh Page (Lee) of Columbus, GA, and Norma Kay Loudermilk (Tim) of Ashburn, VA; son, Carlton Waldrop "Wally" Doolittle (Jennifer) of Macon, GA; brother-in-law, Oscar Heid of Ellerslie, GA; four grandchildren, Blake Pobst, Delaney Doolittle, Cody Doolittle, and Elle Doolittle; 2 great-grandchildren, Emma Pobst and Carson Pobst; several nieces, nephews and other family members and her very special friend, Ron Rollins.
