Samuel “Sam” Mixon Waddell, 34, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Graveside services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder and Chaplain Allison Owen officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. An additional graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, March 6, 2023 at Fullerton Memorial Cemetery in Hillsboro, GA with Reverend Mark Hudgins officiating.
Sam was born September 4, 1988 to Bradley Allen Waddell, Sr. and Michelle Mixon Weidman. He was a member of the Church of the Highlands in Auburn, AL and served as a Marine. He worked in sales for a landscaping material business in Atlanta, GA. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Byron Andrew Waddell and Michael George Mixon.
He is survived by his wife, India Hightower Waddell of Macon, GA, son, Byron Mills Waddell of Macon, GA, father, Bradley Allen Waddell, Sr. (Angie) of Columbus, GA, mother, Michelle Weidman (Hal) of Valdosta, GA, brothers, Bradley Allen Waddell, Jr. (Sue Marie) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Robert William Shayne of Columbus, GA, Zach Weidman of Sandy Springs, GA, sisters, Emily Georgia Waddell of Columbus, GA, Katherine Elizabeth Shayne of Athens, GA, Savannah Weidman of Birmingham, AL, grandmothers, Mary Jane Waddell of Columbus, GA, Sara Mixon Franklin (Jim) of Lawrenceville, GA, numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins.
