Samuel "Sam" Lee Duke

Samuel “Sam” Lee Duke, 82, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ed Rollins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Sam was born November 22, 1939 in Columbus, GA to the late Samuel Gordon Duke and Holy Duke. He was the owner and operator of Dukes Machine Shop. He loved hunting, building computers, going on cruises, visiting Disney land and Las Vegas. He was also an excellent sharp shooter.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pattie West Duke of Columbus, GA, children; Jeff Duke of Panama City Beach, FL, Lesa Fowler (Tifton) of Hamilton, GA, sister, Carolyn Perry (Dan) of Smith Station, AL, grandchildren, Dillon Fowler, Clay Fowler, Tiffany Cole (Eddie), great-grandchildren, Gabe, Evan, Caleb, Bryson and Addy Cole.
