Sally E. Hall went home peacefully to our Lord waiting. She was with her family by her side as the final moments slipped away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM EST Saturday, June 2, 2018 at River of Life Church 8060 US Highway 27 Hamilton, GA 31811 with Pastor Dan Rogers officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Retired from Optometry for several decades, working last for Direct Optical Center in Columbus as Director of Public Relations. She was a teacher in MCSD at Gentian Elementary and in Dalton, Georgia where she owned 2 private schools for early childhood development in Whitfield County.
Sally attended Troy State University in Troy Alabama and University of Texas in El Pasco. She earned her degree in Education with certifications from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama and Yale University New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Hall was an accomplished classical pianist receiving many regional and state awards from her accomplished background in piano and competitions. She played piano for many events for many schools, weddings and theater. She loved family and friends & enjoyed being with friends. She loved laughter and seeing others learn and grow. From 1954 through 1956, Ms. Hall was a cheerleader & majorette for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn University War Eagles football games played in Columbus' Municipal Stadium. Active at Jordan Vocational High School, she was also active in assisting with Class Reunions from 1987 until 2016. Following College Ms. Hall returned to Columbus from Uvaldi, Texas. She loved being around friends, laughter and cooking. She was very keen to helping others with a Servant Gift.
Sally Hall was preceded in death by her father, Jack "Judge" Kimbrough and her mother, Lottie Lucille Kite Kimbrough.
Ms. Hall is survived by her three sons, Mark, Matt, and Jarrod "Jay", grandchildren, April Hall Durham (Blake Durham), Kyle Hall (Brittany Lisle Hall), Adam Hall, Hannah Hall, Dalton Hall, great-grandchildren, Jade, Conner and Alexander, and many nieces and nephews.
