Ryan Matthew Corkron, 32, Columbus, GA died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Emory University Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 21, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Mr. Buddy Jones officiating. An interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Corkron was born May 10, 1982 in Peoria, IL, son of Theresia Corkron Culberson and the late Anthony Steven Culberson. He was a retired law enforcement officer for the Columbus Police Department.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter J. Ibbotson.
Survivors other than his mother include his daughter, Annsley Maria Corkron; son, A.J. Corkron both of LaGrange, GA; sisters, Angela Dunaway (Matt) of Suwanee, GA, Nichole Culberson of Winder, GA, Rebecca Culberson (Chris) of Columbus, GA, Jennifer Carter (Tony) of Columbus, GA; brothers, Edwin C. Culberson and Danny Mitchell (Jana) both of Columbus, GA; paternal grandmother, Joyce A. Ibbotson of Columbus, GA; mother of his children, Sabrina Vazquez Corkron of LaGrange, GA, and a host of other family and friends.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House AHHH, 1815 S. Ponce De Leon Ave. NE Atlanta, GA 30307.
