RV Martin, Jr., 73, of Hamilton, GA died peacefully, Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.

A visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

RV was born January 14, 1950 in Columbus, GA to the late RV Martin, Sr. and Eloise Terry Martin Barlow. He retired from Ryder Truck Rental as the Service Manager over multiple shops. He loved driving fast and at a young age, he began racing boats, he then went on to dirt cars where he won multiple races and championships, driving car #82.  RV even earned his ARCA license and drove asphalt cars for a short time. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and camping but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren playing dominos and teaching them to fish. He also loved watching his grandchildren, Cheer, play football, play in the marching band and play golf and his great grandchildren play soccer.  He received the ultimate gift in October of 2011 as he received a Heart Transplant.  Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Wright Martin.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Ward Martin, his daughters, Tina Martin Williams (Jamie) of Phenix City, AL, Tara DeeAnn Martin of Louisville, KY, Tami Huguley (Jason) of Shiloh, GA, son Benny Worrell of Columbus, GA, brothers, Edwin Martin of Atlanta, GA, James Earl Martin (Rita) of Columbus, GA, Stanley Martin of Maulk, GA, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other family members.
