Ruth McMichael Peckham, 91, of Roswell, GA died Friday, June 3, 2011 at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church 2100 Hilton Ave. Columbus, GA 31906 with Father Doug Hahn officiating. The family will receive friends after the service according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Peckham was born December 1, 1919 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Charles R. and Estelle Montgomery McMichael. She worked as a Budget Officer at Ft. Benning, GA and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Holcombe, Sr., her second husband, Henry A. Peckham, Jr., and son, James Morris Holcombe.
Survivors include her son, William F. Holcombe, Jr. (Jan) of Woodstock, GA, step son, Philip Peckham (Betsy) of Columbus, GA, sisters, Marie Relch of Meridian, MS and Elizabeth Lee of Columbus, GA, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
