Ruth (Greeson) Parmer

Ruth Greeson Parmer, 86, of Columbus, Georgia went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Columbus Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm at McMullen Funeral Home, at 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, Georgia, with the Rev. Norman Drummond officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Parmer was born in Whitfield County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Virgil Greeson and Rosa Greeson. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved son, Terry Queen, and her son-in-law, Jeff Halstead as well as three brothers, Marshall Greeson, Albert Greeson and Eugene Greeson, a sister, Ruby Davis, and a stepson, Eric Parmer.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Parmer, daughters Joann Caldwell (Dan), Darlene Halstead, and Jackie Owens (Ken). Grandchildren Michael Queen (Michelle), Brandie Gatlin (Greg), April Hocutt (William), Jeffrey Halstead (Ashleigh), Sean Norkus, Parker Owens and Benjamin Owens. Great grandchildren, Greyson, Liam, Allyson and Mallie. She is also survived by a large extended family including her stepchildren and their families, whom she loved dearly.
