Ruth M. Dasher, 85, of Henderson, NV, passed away on March 19, 2015 at St. Rose Dominican hospital in Henderson, NV.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Tommy Henschel officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ruth Dasher was born in Barbour County, AL to Mary Ocie Williams on November 1, 1929. She worked as a ward secretary for St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA for 13 years. After enjoying West Palm Beach FL for a period she relocated to the Las Vegas area. She was a loving mother and important figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, thrift shopping, and watching classic movies. She loved the challenge of crossword puzzles. Lawrence Welk, Jeopardy, and "Brit-coms" were some of her favorite television shows. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
Ruth Dasher is predeceased by Robert C. Lisenbey Sr., Arthur Dasher, and her daughter Deborah Lowen.
Ruth is survived by her children Robert C. Lisenbey Jr., of Henderson, NV, Jim L. Lisenbey, of Cumming, GA, Donna L. Priest of Columbus, GA, Lillian R. Grimes of Lawrenceville, GA, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St. Rose Dominican hospital staff for their commitment to her comfort and care in her last days. We also wish to directly thank Chuck Lisenbey for his tireless devotion to her care and well-being through the challenges of the last few years.
