Ruth T. Burnside, 90, St. Augustine, FL, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Burnside was born October 25, 1923 in East Prussia. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John D. Burnside and her daughter, Ursula L. Higginbotham.
Survivors include her sister, Crystel Reichardt; grandchildren, Randy and wife Tonya Higginbotham, Barbara McPeters and husband Randy, John and wife Pam Higginbotham, and Terri Holmes; great-grandchildren, Danielle Marshall and husband James, Savannah Burley and husband Greg, Brittany Higginbotham, Brandi Higginbotham, Olivia Holmes, Lauren Holmes and Katelyn Holmes, John, James, and Jessica Motos; great-great-grandchildren, Lillian and James Marshall, Shane, Zoey, and James Burley, John, Walker, and Brentleigh Motos.
