Russell Phillip Qualls, Jr. of Columbus, GA died Wednesday June 12, 2024 at Columbus Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Snider officiating. Before the service the family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM, Saturday June 15, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Phillip was born July 23, 1963 in Columbus, GA son of the late Russell Phillip Qualls, Sr. and Carolyn Sanders Qualls. He attended Jordan Vocational High School class of 1981. Phillip was a devoted fan of NASCAR and dedicated fan of Alabama Football. All who knew him witnessed his love of The Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke to which he could recite every episode verbatim.
Other than his father, Phillip is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Cleo Qualls and his maternal grandmother, Lillie Drake Watson.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Sanders Qualls of Columbus, GA; sister, Cynthia Qualls Miller (Richie) of Columbus, GA; nephew, Graceson Qualls Miller of Columbus, GA; other family and friends.
