Ruby N. Hanks Thompson

Ruby N. Hanks Thompson, 82, of Phenix City, AL died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Daniel Deliz officiating. A private interment will be held in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Thompson was born April 3, 1929 in Coffee County, AL daughter of the late Tweed B. and Samantha Davis Harrison. She worked at Aflac in Data Entry until she retired and was a member of Sunderlan Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She also loved gardening.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Donnie N. Hanks and Robert D. Thompson, two sisters, Eva Martin and Verse Henderson, and brother, Cap Harrison.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Hanks (Deborah) of Phenix City, AL, Ronnie Hanks of Columbus, GA and Dennis Hanks (Gladys) of Auburn, AL, daughter, Tricia Davies (Clay) of Auburn, AL, eleven grandchildren, Harrison Hanks, Benjamin Hanks, Johnathan Hanks, Joshua Hanks, Amanda Hanks, Haley Davies, John Davies, Sally Davies, Sarah Davies, Guy Davies and Jack Davies, great grandchild, Zachary Hanks, brother, Pete Harrison (Alma) of Phenix City, AL, sister, Betty Smith of Elba, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
