Ruby S. Sanders 74 of Smiths, AL died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Ivey officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home 613 14th St., Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Sanders was born July 09, 1935 in Abbeville, AL daughter of the late Lucy Money Strickland and Henry Madison Strickland. She was a supervisor for AHP Medical and a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Sanders.
Survivors include her sons Bobby S. Colwell and wife Donna T. of Hamilton, GA and Russell N. Colwell and wife Suzanne of Phenix City; three grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
