Ruby Lee Leister, 76, of Columbus died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Columbus Medical Center.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Leister was born November 13, 1934 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Mary Conaway Holstead and Brannon Holstead. She was a homemaker and was a loving mother.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles William Leister and sisters, Doris Sillers and Ruth Davis.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Newman, Wanda Newman and Angela Davison; son, Timothy Newman and wife Paulette all of Columbus; grandchildren, Jonathan Newman, Eric Newman, Ericka Newman, Amanda Moore, Todd Patterson, Candice Paterson and Michael Smith, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
