Ruby P. Cooper, 87, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 11, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. A private interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. The famly will receive friends Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Cooper was born July 25, 1926 in Dothan, AL, daughter of the late Clarence Branton and Beebie West Branton. She retired after 30 years from Swift Spinning Mills. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louie A. Cooper and her brothers, Rupert Branton and Houston Branton.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Gilbert (John) of Dunnellon, FL; son, Ron Cooper (Billie) of Hixson, TN, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Beallwood Baptist Church, 4650 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, GA 31904.
