Rev. Ruben Berry Milam, Jr., 87, Columbus, GA went to be with his Lord on October 17, 2013.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Paul Thomas and Rev. Jay Bailey officiating. An Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home.
Rev. Milam was born January 7, 1926 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Ruben Berry Milam, Sr. and Bonnie Lee Hood Milam. He proudly served his country both 3 years in Marines and 4 years in the Air Force. Brother Milam was called into the ministry in 1967, serving as a Worship Leader, Bible Class teacher, and interim Pastor. He attended Evangel Temple and was active in the Singles and Doubles Sunday School class.
Berry was preceded in death by his wives; Patricia E. Milam and Mary B. Milam, 2 brothers; Rev. Ralph L. Milam and Charles E. Milam, and son; Walter David Milam.
Daddy Berry is survived by a daughter; Sandra Milam Gibson (Levon), son; Michael L. Milam (Shari), grandchildren; Rev. Patricia Gibson Wilkinson (Brannen), Kimberly A. Fromhagen, Rev. John David Milam (Lori), Vincent Eric Milam (Melanie), Wendi Milam Jenkins (Bill), Lisa Leigh Milam, 7 great-grandchildren, and a loving friend; Evelyn McFarland.
