Roy Edward Miller, 89, of Fortson, GA died Tuesday January 28, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 1, 2020 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Brother Danny Courtney officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Miller was born January 19, 1931 in Donaldsonville, GA son of the late Hosea Edward Miller and Ollie Bell Smith Miller. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great great-grandfather. He loved to garden, fish, read, western shows, and was Baptist by faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Eugene Miller and Ann Miller; brother Kenneth Miller.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Jeanette Hunter Miller of Fortson, GA; children, Carol Miller Edwards of Fortson, GA, Wanda Miller Armstrong of Columbus, GA, Anita Miller Barton of Fortson, GA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Collins of Perry, GA, Sylvia Epolite of Columbus, GA, Ray Miller of Florida, and Ronnie Miller of Manchester, GA.
