Roy Samuel Bass, Jr., 81, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Roy was born December 9, 1939 in Columbus, GA to the late Roy Samuel Bass, Sr. and Myra Crockett Bass. He worked for the Columbus City Government as an automobile technician and also served in the US Army. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Trixie Rose Bass Dewberry.
He is survived by his wife Janet Bass of Columbus, GA, daughter Suzanne Bass Ivey (Tim) of Phenix City, AL, son Roy S. Bass, III of Phenix City, AL granddaughter Kristi Phillips Brown (Dustin) and great-grandson Braxton Brown of Texas.
