Rosie Mae Phillips, 87, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2022 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Mike Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Rosie was born October 25, 1934 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Norris Clifford Palmer and Margaret Jarrell Palmer. She retired from Kemet Electronics, was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for years, member of WMU since 1985, member of the Golden Age, volunteered at Mission of Columbus for 8 years and was a member of Joy Ministries Baptist Association for 12 years. She loved her family and her church. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dana Phillips, daughter, Fay Myers and her son, Clifton Phillips.
She is survived by her children, Paula Boutin (Frank) of Phenix City, AL, Matthew “Matt” K. Phillips of Columbus, GA, sister, Melba Elliot of Columbus, GA, brother, C.J. Palmer of Canton, GA, 8 grandchildren, Michael Alan Phillips (Nicole) of Howell,MI, Tina Michelle Daugherty (Will) of Thomaston, GA, Brandon Thomas Myers (Cathy) of St. Augustine, FL, Teresa Brooke Mainor (Bryce) of Shiloh, GA, Amber Fayth Bohannon (Shannon) of Columbus, GA, Daniel “Dana” Frank Phillips (Samantha) of Smith Station, AL, Erika Rose Poole of Columbus, GA, and Katelynn Elizabeth Rammage of Phenix City, AL, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make contributions to Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church at 6304 Lynridge Ave, Columbus, GA 31909.
